Archive Project

During the summer of 2009, Cowan Railroad Museum worked with Middle Tennessee State University and the Center for Historic Preservation to adopt formal policies for acquisition and control of documents and artifacts.

As part of this project, we began the tedious process of scanning paper documents to compile a digital database and acquired Past Perfect Museum software to catalog all artifacts. The Summer Youth Program got us off to a good start, scanning over 900 documents.

Assistance is needed in cataloging, scanning and inputting data.
