5K Run/Walk - Saturday, June 1, 2013

We had a blast!  58 people turned out in beautiful weather to support the Cowan Railroad Museum.

Overal winners: fastest man & woman:
Eric Shull (17:59) and Jennifer Webb (24:38)

1st place winners in their respective age groups:

Females: Mariah Shull, Shelby Miller, Allison Oliver, Holly Edge, Lori Judge, Ann Solomon, Lea Anne Shull, Jeannie Warren, Eleanor Pope and Laura Lowndes.

Males: Maarten Muller, Pearson Garner, Jacob Floyd, Tyler Cooney, Daniel Webb, Scotty Neal and Robert Knies.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the event and to all the volunteers. Special thanks to Dena and Ricky Gillespie for spearheading the race.

$20.00 - Pre-registration through May 25, 2013
$25.00 - late and day of registration

Starting Times:
6:30 am - Registration Begins
7:30 am - 5K Run/Walk Begins
9:00 am - Awards Ceremony

Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners.  Awards will also be given to the top three finishers, both male and female, in the age divisions below.  All awards will be based on "gun time."  No duplicate awards.  All pre-registered runners will receive a T-shirt (late registration - subject to availability).

Age Divisions:  00-10    11-14    15-19     20-29     30-39    40-49    50-59     60-UP

Course: This 5K route will depart and finish at the Cowan Railroad Museum.  Water will be provided at the half mark on the course and the start/finish line.  Traffic control will be provided by the Cowan Police Department.

Finish Times & Results:  There will be no timing mat at the start line, so all finish times will be "gun" times.  Timing clocks are provided by Mach Tenn Running Club of Tullahoma, TN.  All results will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at 9:00 am.
