Annual Membership Meeting & Elections
Join us for the Cowan Railroad Museum 2023 Annual Meeting!
We will gather on Thursday evening, March 2nd, 6:00 p.m. at Cowan Center for the Arts. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the annual meeting is to review the museum's activities in 2022, set goals for 2023, and approve a new operating budget.
This year we will also hold elections for the Board of Directors. Board members serve a two-year term and oversee the operation of the museum as well as the maintenance of the building and grounds.
The membership nominates and elects seven (7) members to serve. The elected members then hold an organizational meeting to elect officers.
Your voice and your vote are crucial, as well as your financial support.
Voting and participation in the annual meeting requires advance payment of annual membership dues. (No additional payment required for Lifetime Members.)
Membership dues are $20.00 per person ($10 for students) and payable by check to CRM, PO Box 53, Cowan, TN 37318.

It's happening! We're getting it done!
The roof replacement project at the historic Cowan Depot is moving forward in 2023!
Replacing the roof is a top priority for Cowan Railroad Museum.
The existing shingled roof, installed in 2002, is at the end of its intended lifespan.
A series of recent storms damaged a large section of the roof and caused water leaks that are getting worse with each and every rainfall.
Our goal for the last four years has been to replace the shingled roof with a standing-seam tin roof. The new tin roof will not only stop the worrisome leaks, but will also give the depot a more authentic appearance. The tin roof is also expected to last longer and provide greater value for each dollar spent.
Thanks to the support of our members, donations from visitors, and funds raised from the Annual Fall Heritage Festival, we are able to start to roof project in 2023! And we are truly grateful!
Going forward, we will need the continuing support of museum members - past, present, and future - to replenish the funds we are spending on our most important capital project.
With that in mind, please renew your CRM membership in 2023! Membership dues are our third largest source of funds, and every little bit counts!
Please consider an additional donation in 2023 to help us replenish our funds sooner. A 119 year-old building surrounding by a 49-year old park will always need maintenance. The sooner we replenish our funds the easier our task to keep everything in good repair!

In late February you will see the roof project begin. It will thrill us all to see the work in progress and the money we have raised going to the best possible use!
